What size are you using 4,5,6 Gallon or bigger? I am looking at buying a smaller fuel cell for just the drag weekends

I was told that a drag motor will use approximately a 1/2 to 3/4 gallon per pass (that includes the race and the return). I would say your promax will likely be on the lighter side of that so I would imagine about 1/2 gallon per pass. In a 10 boat field (and somebody can check my math if I laid out the bracket correctly) you would need 7 passes to win. For reference, my 280 last year burned just over 5 gallons in 8 passes on the Saturday. I would think that a 6 gallon should be big enough but I would air on the side of caution and get an 8 gallon.

Still working on it Garth Trying to decide whether to go natural plastic with Foam or with out foam or coloured cell to keep the fuel out of the sunlight, Or go with him in aluminum cell

Mikey had a very nice polished aluminum 8 or 10 gallon fuel cell in his little Allison… Similar ones on eBay are relatively cheap… Even with the exchange and shipping ...
