Post subject:  14' Allison with 70 Yammi

Just saw this one while I was browsing on kijiji. How different is this than the 13' Allisons that are racing in T-850? Would it be competitive with the 13 footers? I found it interesting that it's Kevlar...

I would think it would work well....a small gearcase would light that thing up

Seems a little too fast for that combo. With a short shaft OMC stinger they run low 60's. With a short shaft 56 your would see mid 60's. They are easier to drive compared to the 13 footer. Guys tried running 10 to 12 inch setbacks with stingers on these hulls.. The boat ran close to 70 mph, but it wouldn't turn. Perfect motor on this boat is a short shaft 90 Yamaha with the small gearcase. They run 75 mph with lots of punch and the go around a corner.
