From the race calendar thread: sheuninck wrote: July 14-15 -- Detroit Gold Cup Unlimiteds ---- TC July 28,29 - OPA Race St.Clair MI ---TC Steve, any info on either of these for ThunderCats? I am free July 28-29, and it would be cool to be part of the Gold Cup I'm on holidays then (at cottage, but could maybe slip away for day or two if it was worth it). I could only do one of them. Number of laps/heats? How big is a lap? Entry fees? Prize/tow money? meals/hotel deals? |

I really recommend watching the unlimiteds at least once in your lifetime. About every 5 years i drive over and watch them. We can hear the boats from our house. |

This is the main reason I would like to try and go. Been driving a race boat for 33 years... at my first race when I was 5 months old (born in January, so took a while. haha.) I've never seen an unlimited. |
