Likely the only used SST 45 power heads you will find are in the USA. They will want $1500.00 or more US dollars for one....that's over $2000. Canadian. NOT WORTH IT! Most used race motors are not that good and most racers never sell their good motors until they retire from that class. There is nothing really special about a SST 45 motor. They are easy to build. AND not that costly! I suggest you get a RUNNING Big 100, small 100 or 207 block power head. Build it to these specs https://www.apba.org/sites/all/files/do ... 022515.pdf I am sure the other T750 racers can offer suggestions. The weak part is the CRANK.....you must have a good crank.....and a crank from a non raced motor is normally better and has more life remaining in them. A fresh SST 45 power head will last a long time on a T boat compared to a SST 45 tunnel. You don't need the totally perfect power head.....just a good one.......trying to get too much out of these motors for that extra 1 mph shortens that motors life. |
