Six Mile will be on television! I copy and pasted this from Peter Sladek's post on Facebook.

Hello fellow Six Milers, as some may have heard already six mile lake will be one of the hosting lakes for the new TV show Cottage Cook Off. I have been talking to the director and I brought up how six mile lake has a big group of v bottom race boats, and this is what the director would like to do :

"I would love to try and gather a group of you and your fellow boat racers to be our 'judges' at the Cottage Cook Off we'll shoot on your lake on May 26th. If you can let me know how many of them you can gather, I'd be grateful - we would need them for a few hours in the afternoon and would shoot with you and them on the water as well as tasting and judging the food."

I think this is a great opportunity to show what six mile lake has to offer and to show off our amazing boats on live TV. So whoever is interested please contact me via Facebook.

What channel and when will it be on?

Food network. We havnt been told when it will air yet.

i was watching the news the other day, they said a little exposure is ok as long as you wear lots of sun screen.

You are absolutely right...we have strick rules about YOU exposing yourself on Maple Lake...apparently Kashe doesn't mind....but I like to think we have a little more class (and faster T boats...just sayin')...

Show will air on the cottage channel apparently. As far as I know no footage of any boat was used and only two family's from the lake were chosen.
