Ron Hill is making some. http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/s ... ike-Motors We tested some 4 blades on our SST 60 tunnel. They didn't work out very well. I have a 4 blade that I ran on our SST 60 Critchfield to break in motors for the tunnel boat. It was ideal for breaking in motors, but poor as a race prop. This posted prop is likely too big a pitch for a nitro case. It could be good on a big foot OMC gearcase. If Ron makes one 18 to 20 pitch and 11 3/4 to 12 inch diameter it may be a good T prop. |

Ron currently has 11 5/8 x 20 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Four-Blade-Clea ... 5af1cb2b96 He can make 12 x 20. Diffinately worth trying. Would be a good Christmas present for a young fellow on 6 mile. |

Don, why 20 pitch? I saw the SST-60 one he has finished is 23.75 pitch. Wouldn't we still be in need of about 23 or so even with the extra blade? |

Every 4 blade I have tested needed to be 2 inches less pitch than the 3 blade. By getting a 20 pitch you can repitch it to 18 or 22 if necessary. Same with being 12 inch diameter, you can always make it smaller, but you can't make it larger. You can run far more positive trim with the 4 blade before they blow out, so the rake even though is is low shouldn't hurt it. I wouldn't be supprised that even the 11 5/8 works on a T. |
