I am at the cottage Saturday as I have to pick up my Lotus for British Car Day on Sunday. Over 1000 English cars (leaking oil) on the grass at Bronte Creek provincial park. It's the 50th anniversary of the Lotus Elan. It's possible some of my writing will wind up in the program. Or I'll get edited out.

At any rate, you (Shivers) can pick up the prop any time Sat - Tuesday. My wife is staying for a few days. I'm shipping out early on Sunday AM. No rush on the 23 SRX as the guy bought something else.

tested the prop today,it's got great holding power, It will run higher than my cleaver or raker without slipping! The boat is currently rigged with a 6" setback which I put on out of curiosity to see what it does! It slowed the boat down considerably from the 3.5" I had on it!All my props ran slower with the setback, but the solas was best with a 59@6100 thats about .08 slip, pretty good! I ran it up to about 1/2 above before it started to slow,my other props a 13.5x22 raker wouldn't lock up at the same height, but ran a 56 @7000 at it's optimum! and the 12.5x25cleaver runs 57@6500,both props about 1" below! the 31lb bracket is too heavy for the boat! it runs 61@6800 with the cleaver and 3.5 back!
I'd like to try the prop again when I have the 3.5"blocks on it,if it's still around! I'm running the big foot with 2.42 gears, if someone had a motor with muscle to twist the nitro case gears,or a very light setup, for lake running, look out!

I really think it's an excellent prop, but a lot of pitch for most V4 or triple applications.

I had no trouble turning it with the 2.42 gears and my motor is almost factory stock other than reeds! I tested the boat with full lake gear in the boat, I can easily drop 60lbs off the boat, 25lbs,right off the start by switching back to the setback blocks!20lbs of fuel that I wouldn't need for a race, and a light weight battery!
your right it's a good prop, definately faster than my other wheels with the current setup! and I think I could see 65 without the baggage! It's ideal for lake running on my boat, I forgot to mention that the boats steering torque was greatly reduced by the height that i could run this prop and the steering input to the wheel was reduced! I did feel that a torque tamer would help with this setup as there was quite a bit of yaw while running at max altitude, not sure if this is from the engine height or 6" setback!

Ok... Who needs this prop? The hub can be removed and replaced with a 15 spline for use with a V6 as well...
Price drop to $250 or trade for a mint 12x22 or 23p OMC cleaver! :D

This was my prop I got from Ron Hill. He may be able to get you another one or something similar. Check out his ebay store or just email him... ronhill@hillmarine.com
