Looking for a good complete running motor to put on a voo doo. I am trying to race this season so would like to be somewhat competitive. Thank you |

I did reply to your message. Just a suggestion. IF your VooDoo is a 24 transom model you could do this. Run an older style 20 inch mid. The solid mounts used on the SS fit, Still run a nitro foot. You will need to lengthen the drive shaft. TOP GUN may have one already done in stock. The parts are cheap and you can use factory trim. You do not need to cut the transom down or run a lowered set back. The boat handles fine. You end up with a long shaft SST 60. I made one up years ago and it worked great. Here is an example http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-70-Johnson ... 35bcea2687 |

Hi Don, The voo doo is a factory race boat with the cut down transom. The long shaft application is not ideal. |

Not sure about that Don. It was owned by Tim Wilson of Six Mile and had a ss stinger once upon a time. that was probably 20 years ago. i looked over the boat this morning and decided pass. the seller wanted to 2500 boat and motor (86 clamshell 60 rebuild). 2 stringer had been notched out for a floor at one point and were rotten and broken. The other stringers were full of screws and likely in the same shape. The transom has a butcher of a cut down job and starting to delaminate, bottom was beat. its too bad, i was looking forward to getting back in a boat. |

Don, I believe you are referring to the "Georgian Bay Performance" Voo Doo. That boat was owned by Tim Topping of Six Mile and had a 650 xs. It was sold a number of years ago with a Long OMC on it. Thats how it remains today. |

If so that was Steve Wrong's first EP boat. |
