It's a jet engine... I dunno, I don't quite believe it, especially after watching their "video". Don't they have to be spinning 30 000 rpm to start making power?? What would that do to the lower unit while shifting into forward?? Start in gear?? Not going to happen, engine wouldn't turn fast enough to fire due to the load.. I may be wrong here, it's happened once before, but I don't see this one working.

technically you only need a 3to1 reducer because that gear case will spin up to 10,000rpm

I have NO idea if this is real or not...but I do know they run them in the big cats with a gear reduction and a clutch pack for neutral. I thought I saw something about this on S&F but I don't remember. It would be a much cooler piece on the a stand in Top Gun's basement lol.

There's a lot more space on an inboard jet to do a proper gear reduction and clutch than there is on an outboard. I'm not saying it isn't possible, and maybe this guy has more engineering skills than his YouTube videos elude to, but without some proof or a good explanation of how (or even if) this motor works I'm calling it bunk.

you would think he would go thru alott of lower units,,who knows if its real,, i'v seen a guy make a gas turbine out of a pop can,, so really it could be possible.

That would be a pulse jet probably. I was days from starting a turbine engine project from a used turbocharger I pulled off a scrap motor, only to find out a few days later the customer blew the replacement motor's turbo and we needed to re-install the one I had just taken home lol.. I'm intrigued by these engines, just don't have the time to build one. I'm a sponge for info if this is legit!
