Wanted a 16' Sidewinder or 16' Charger I'm looking for a decent hull that I can dual rig for OMC and Merc. I had a boat rigged like this before for testing motors after rebuilding and/or performing repairs. I can test form 40hp to V6 motors with either of these hulls because they will handle the weight of the bigger motors and light enough to run a 40hp. I will mount a setback/manual lift permanently and swap motors from that bracket. Let me know if anyone has either of these hulls with or without a trailer for sale Mercrazy |

Have a Sidewinder 14SS taking up space. Had planned to hang an OMC 90 off it, V6 might be a stretch but people here have done crazier things. |

Lol your right about crazy! I have seen a 14' with a V6 Merc before, just parked at the dock at the park on my lake. I would like to find a 16' just to be a little safer! Thanks Mercrazy |

Bill could speak better to this but I think a 16 Winder is not exactly safe with big power. I seem to recall the lack of pad made his a bit dodgy. |

It's not really for ripping up the lake but more for testing. Now where is the fun in that!! There have been a number of inline 150's and V6 200hp's seen on my lake alone not no mention the one's I've seen advertised. I should also say that the 14' Winder was another boat on my bucket list as well. The V4 90hp would be a good choice as well as the early 80's 140hp and similar weight. What shape is yours in? It's a small project. Needs floor (one sheet of ply) and a single stringer. Hull gel is good, could use a top coat. Picked it cause it has a small pad Love to finish it but other projects are higher priority. |

I had the pleasure of meeting Tomcat last night! Super guy to talk with, and a fellow diseased individual with "Boaters Syndrome". We were able to trade off some items with each other and have some laughs. Nice meeting you Tom! I'm still looking for a 16' Sidewinder or 16' Charger if anyone has something! Thanks Mercrazy |

Just some food for thought... As far as I've seen, sidewinders are not cored boats, Chargers are. If you're just looking for a pos to beat on and test with, you might be better off with a 'winder and no core issues. |
