I Guess Reggie Fountain didn't invent the step hull after all? We used steps in the 70's and 80's on our tunnel boat sponsons. |

This is the first one I have seen in Canada. I do recall seeing pictures of similar hulls racing in the early 60's. The small ones had twin 40 to 50 Mercurys and the larger ones had 70 to 80 hp inline six Mercurys. They didn't know about set backs back then. Up grade this with modern power, props and a set back, it could surprise people or be a death trap. |
