here is the scoop, im getting it  ...........but i am concerned about the balsa core,,, he said it has NOT been done! but its still good,,(how would a person tell)? ,, would I be able to re-core it Myself? or is its a huge deal on a tunnel? I know i can Finnish the transom No problem, there is some chips on the deck and it needs paint, gel, floor and interior etc,,, i made him an offer he couldn't refuse , to deliver it next week,.,.looks like im about to get messy again :D cant wait,, i'm rigging the winder right now and its for sale again,

It really depends on where the core is in the boat. In the outer sponsons under the deck it can be a pain...but otherwise it's not the end of the world.

it would be nice if it was still good, but considering the core is as old or older than i am, you would think its due..

it just depends on build quality and how it has been stored over the years.. EVERY Hydrostream is rotten no matter how its stored.. mine was in dry storage for 20 years and was still rotten. but i have heard and seen core in a challenger that was original completely dry now its getting just a transom as we speak and it was stored outside all its life. but that might be one in a million.

put an add on kijiji and hire a kid part time for a couple weeks and pay him 15 bucks an hour cash to gut your boat. then you can put it back together and avoid the shitty part..

No it wouldn't at most 200 bucks if the kid has half a sense on working with his hands.
