I've been into this stuff since I was a kid. So Henry and I play every night after dinner in the winter (too dark and fucking cold to go outside)...Anyone else still play with toys??

Our Layout...it's on a ping-pong table on top of a pool table...which will go upstairs in my shop whenever Mitch wants to carry it up there :).

I still have some AFX cars and bodies around. A small track as well. Back when I was about 12 or 13 I got piles of unopened car bodies and spare parts. After years of the parts sitting around my parents house, my mom tired to throw them out and my dad said she should make sure it was OK with me first. I saw some of the bodies selling for around $10 or so a piece on ebay and thought I'd put some of the unopened bodies up to see what they would fetch. The next day, bidding on one of the bodies had reached over $100. In disbelief, I watched the auction close and one of the bodies sold for $450US which was well over $500 at the time. Turns out I had one of the rarest bodies out there. Even better, I had 5 of them! Unfortunately, I opened 2 of them to use and had carved the wheel wells out bigger to fit the rim and tire sets I had but they still fetched a good dollar. I had a bunch of porshe bodies that sold for around $80 each as well. I had about 100 tire, rim and brush kits. All in all, I sold everything for a total of about $4000-$5000! Not bad for a bunch of junk given to me from a hobby store that went out of business many years before I got the stuff.

That is amazing...I've got a fair amount of old stuff...but it's pretty beat.

Tunnel V...There's no need to brain wash the kid...he just knows lol.

JC the new stuff is faster than the old stuff...but less techy/cool. I've got a throttle stop on the kids and he laps me (not a word LC)...

this is our setup , four lanes of HO scale racing, the tower has four infra red beams connected to an old 386 computer thats starts the races and gives you average and fastest speed and lap times , as well as docking you a lap if you jump the start. the fastest cars do a lap in 2.4 seconds. we dont use it much anymore as my son is into paintball (speedball) in his spare time away from sports.I have a hobby store size parts bin of parts for these cars, new in the box lol.
