Whats the preferred style Cut Suit, one or two piece?
SRP or Lifeline?
Also is there canadian hydro rules posted online anywhere?
Thanks

I believe both suits are just as good as the other.
Ive had both.
Fitment is most important.
I know racers that have used the sizing chart these companies provide and feel their suit is to tight...keep that in mind.
Lifeline is a tad more $$$ but they do have sales throughout the year.
Comp jackets were $200 off in November.

Lifeline cut resistant suits are better, offer more protection. Late last year they started using Level 5 cut resistant material for their suits, SRP has not made this move yet to my knowledge. I confirmed this info with lifeline last week. Level 5 is the highest level for cut resistant material. Can’t remember the name of the material but it has been used in Europe for quite awhile.

Life Jacket:
If racing outboard hydroplanes CBF spec requires life jacket with 'tail'. This is to protect your back/butt/spine in rare event an engine grenades forward toward drivers back.
If racing outboard T class, CBF does not require life jacket with 'tail', which is also uncomfortable to sit on in T race seat.
I race both classes, I designed and had Lifeline make a suit with removable tail(~10"x 20") suitable for either class.

Cut Suit:
CBF rules do not dictate requirement or preference for 2 piece pants & sleeves over 1 piece overall.
All those I have seen in hydros or T's has 2 piece, whereby upper part only has cut proof sleeves(torso is nylon), and whole pants are cut proof material.
I know only one person in our racing community ordered a one piece cut suit, ~U$1K+, its all red, he's a big guy in Drag.
He never wears it because he said he looks like a big walking prick, a bigger prick than he is already.
On hot days it chafes him and figuratively everyone around him.

Canadian Boating Federation is the national sanctioning body, all CDN class racing rules are posted there under General Racing and specific class rules. Take time to read & familiarize: http://www.cbfnc.ca/resources/rules.html
At the end of the day, it is each drivers sole responsibility to inform themselves and know applicable rules, same as per rules of the road.

I hope this helps.
PS: not relinquishing names but the Biig Drag guy is like a big red sausage in his Yellow Bun Boat, 'Alice's On'.
I swear, like an Oscar Mayer sausage van on water, until it spills, mustard, relish, ketchup, Big Sausage, flying everywhere. Eco disaster.
I better hide.
