BTW: When I was racing in the 50s/60s in the bay area I personally knew several drivers that were very low income and some were on welfare.
that is the main issue racing isn't a right you don't have to do it.
i assume Ron Hill is are aware what it cost to participate in any other sports, skiing, hockey, ps3 big screen suround sound, tv plus ineternet lol.
i think boat racing is the cheapest thing going, if you look at age of most motors out there being used if you buy a new one it will last two generations of racers or more so msrp on a new 50hp let say 6000.00 that's 300$ a year for a motor. at 20 yrs.
