Jesse Coulter saw his engine performance decrease during the season last year. Expect to see refreshed powerheads to start the 2025 season.

Mack Jones saw improved performance thru the 2024 season. Watch for him testing different ideas in powerheads and prop selection during the season.

The Gordon Family
Never satisfied and each member is always looking and trying to be the best. Their efforts paid off in the 2024 season and they realize it will be even more competitive in the 2025 season. They will try different boat and motor combinations. They realize the class needs more entries and will continue to step up, encourage and support new racers.
We could see different categories within the T850 class based on engine and gearcase.

Ben Mistelbacher had his rookie season in 2024. There is a lot a successful boat racing family history and knowledge to support Ben. Don’t be surprised if Ben shows up with a new engine
and a serious performance improvement over 2024. I hope he continues to race a Voodoo.

The Luksep family
I don’t believe we will see the Voodoo racing in 2025 unless it gets a more competitive engine.
Their critchfield did race in 2024 and I think we will see it race during the 2025 season.

Matt Makauskas has been quiet as usual this winter. Matt did an excellent setup on his Critchfield with a bone stock, non rebuilt 49 OMC getting it to run 72 mph....that was impressive! Matt ran an OMC 56 in 2024. He knows where he needs to improve on the race course to be more competitive and he knows the competition. He will be better in 2025.

Craig Bruce was very consistent during the 2024 season. He too will need to continue trying to improve in order keep up with the competition. He likely needs only minor changes in setup and prop selection to stay very competitive.

Running 20 laps with no oil and blown head gasket at some point (we figured in heat number 3 that day) was some of the engine performance issue . Still got a 4th in 4th set on two cylinders with water pumping through it lol, think we got a 1st and 2nd overall that weekend. Lucky it was the backup powerhead we were trying out. We will start the season back with the original powerhead (no refresh yet on it ) and we will be sure to grab the correct 5 gallons of gas with oil this year
