I'm new here, just signed up, so thought I would give a bit of an introduction and say hi.

My name's Mike, and I'm 25, live in Toronto. Growing up my grandparents had a cottage on Isabella Island in Parry Sound. I was fortunate enough for my family to have some fun boats. At about 14 my dad bought a 14 foot Checkmate with a 40 hp Mercury for my brother and I to play around with.

When my brother and I got to be 16 years of age, we were fortunate enough my dad wanted a bigger boat. He went out and got a 17 foot Checkmate with a 115 Mercury.

Unfortunately my grandparents had to sell the cottage when I was 19, so no more boats. Having the need for speed still, got into cars.

When I first bought it

And how it sits now, 5 years later

Now that my Dad has recently bought a place in Honey Harbour, I can get back into the speed boats! :D At the moment I'm mostly looking for a Voodoo with a 70 Yamaha. If there is a sweet deal for something bigger and faster though, no doubt I'll be jumping on that :). I'm Excited for the summer and boating season, just need a boat! Can't wait!!! Hope to see some of you out there on the water too.

Welcome to the site.

I obviously love the voodoo but for the price sometimes you can get into the next size up in a charger or panther etc and run a V4. They use a bit more fuel but they hold people and you can ski/tube behind them.
That is a sweet car...I've always loved the S2000..very cool.

My dad just bought a 1775 Impact Sport Lund at the boat show, so any skiing/tubing/wakeboarding can happen behind that boat. I'm hoping, just hoping, that I can go check out a Hydrostream Vector in the near future.

S2000's are amazing cars, I'm extremely lucky to have one. I've got quite a bit of money, and dyno tuning, into mine. It's basically been my summer hobby, hopefully I have 2 now :D. My dad also bought 2 1000cc Yamaha snowmobiles, so winter fun too. My god I never knew how fast snowmobiles really were until I rode them!

How my summers have looked like the past few years

That's James' (OneCycle) old boat...it was our uncle's prior.

What happened to your uncle's charger?

So I've heard :). Heard its been rebuilt so that's a plus.

My dad got to drive that boat more than he did . Just don't ever tell that to my uncle ;) He sold it back in 96 or 97 I think it was. He has 3 kids now at 17, 16, and 13, soon as he had number 1 he sold it for a fishing boat. Our family still have pictures of that boat hanging on our walls too it, was a beauty. I miss that boat every time I think about it.

Yeah that's Hoppy's boat, it's here in Pererborough. He bought it the same time I bought my Vision, I had looked at it in North Bay. If I knew it the way I know it now, I wouldn't have passed it up....
