Just looking around at the Evinrude site today and saw this. Quite a wild looking outboard

Cool!!
Archer, rbt, Blake & I need to get these for our Newphie boats and start a new class.
Would they count as a capsule boat?

It looks like the rechargeable battery off of my cordless drill. Looks like it has some "lower" water pick ups. Interesting looking prop nut. Right on about the Rev-XP part, clearly the same design team! A red one would look great hanging off the back of my Checkmate. Some specs would be nice, like actual dyno HP's and REAL weight, lower unit ratio, rev limit, and cost, for starters!

Looks like the specs are up. 558 lbs, 1:85 lower, 3.4 lt, comes in many colours! It will definitely need a better lower for performance use.

I heard they where working on a new lower with a beefed up carrier and shaft a while ago, maybe it will just need a cone. All a motor like this needs is a trip to the Dave Bush dyno room lol, too heavy for my ride though. Great for the larger hulls though good milage, lots of torque , and you just push a button at the end of the season and it winterizes itself  would be nice to see some dyno numbers. It would also be nice to see omc brp offer a different lower ratio, even as an option.

I don't think it would necessarily be too heavy for an AE21, I have seen V-8's hung off of them, and it sure wouldn't need as much set back!

There's an easier option...with PROVEN performance....it also comes in black and doesn't have BRP's self destruct mode  ...BANG...knock,knock,knock.
