Some days we all make bad judgement calls and I sure made a bad one on that Sunday. The EP races between Rob and Jim were the major highlite for the weekend. The problem was our boat was breaking apart after the two heats on Saturday. I didn't want to run the boat Sunday. They talked me into doing some patch work on the boat Saturday nite. The first heat on Sunday was another good race. The plan for the last heat Sunday was to just finish a close second and not hurt the boat anymore. Jim sets the boat for that corner and the nose breaks. It flips and 2/3's of the floatation comes out.The boat sinks when Jim exits the boat. We got the boat up after the races. The motor was totally destroyed and you could see where the nose had broke right at Jim's feet. Costly error!
