If I decide to re-paint this old J-Craft I have here and bring it back to life, what would be the best way to strip the old paint off and bring it back to the gel-coat to repaint it? From what I understand, it's a bad idea to re-paint over a previous paint job and I think this has 2 paint jobs on it already. If I go to the work of doing it, I want it to last and don't want to worry about previous paint peeling under the new paint...

If its an automotive style paint I would try this:

It goes surprisingly fast and with not harmful chemicals...

Or get paint stripper designed for corvettes...
