For a do it yourself guy this fellow has some clever ideas that actually work. He only plays with small outboard motors and runs them on a small V hull aluminum boat. It is impressive how well his combos perform even though most of us wouldn’t spend the time or money similar projects.

In this video he decided to modify the bottom of his V hull tinny. Many of us have worked on the bottom of our T boats, but I for one never thought of doing this modification. He gains 2 mph with the alteration. His hull is a true V design with no pad. I actually think it will work on similar hulls with larger horsepower provided the hull DOESN’T have a pad.
