I just CANT leave that damn boat alone...

soooo......I had a new interior made for it since the red stripes on my old one where turning rasberry-pink-ish...
Baught 2 new fiberglass shells and had it all done by a local guy who happens to be my boss..lol..got a killer deal

I've got the boat off the trailer about 1 month ago and did some repair and shaping on the bottom and I'm in the process of re-painting the sponsons with interlux brightside roll and tip paint...so far it did a awsome job...my 1st coat is done and its drying out right now...I have to sand it with 320 grit and do the final coat...very neat product
a special thanks to murph for all the help and tips for my repairs!

I also sold my CLE and baught what I think is a Coned CLE from dave at AIM. I taught it was a coned 200 case but the skeg is awfully big kinda like my CLE. anyways, this and the cowl are at my neighbor's place getting painted. The cowl its getting a new stock mod vp decal set!

ohh and I sent my 27 srx to DAH and it came back better then perfect!

I'm shooting for a consistent 90mph and a best of 93-94 maybe!

here are some quick pics!

How is that paint working for you?

pretty good so far...1st coat is down..took a bit longer then advertised to dry to the point it can be sanded but i'm not in to much of a hurry.

I think i'll have enough of 1 quart to do both sponsons and the rear. I thinned it with 10% interlux 333 brushing solvent.

I sanded about half of it today but I have to get ready for a easter supper so i'll finish tomorrow. a minimum of 2 coats is required.you could still see some white gel here and there before sanding. the finish is really impressive.the top of my boat is clear coated and you could barely feel the difference sliding your hands on the top an bottom at the same time.
hopefully 2 coats is enough..I'd hate to sand it all up again..well see..
I just have to find out it I need to wet sand or polish it after the last coat to give it a mirror finish

heres a cool video on youtube of a guy applying it..pretty much what I did with the same results.

That is looking great! The fresh interior you will love as well - like a nice area rug it really brings it all together :D
