Well Dudes and Dudettes I have been tardy in getting around to this and will post some pics now as I go but I am with signifcant help from the Yamaha MRS speed shop building a 2.6 L Yamaha. I drank the kool aid a long time ago now so it is time for a Yamaha repower as some have seen my cosmetically looking turd hanging off my DL. I purchased over a year ago now a blown up 1991 Carb 225 donor motor with a nice viewing window into Cylinder #6. The motor is stripped and a new block sourced. Plans are as follows; 1. Mild porting 2. Just maybe some Hydro Tec heads 3. CCM reeds 4. Coned lower, likely a JC 5. 2000ish VMAX cowl to update the appearances (likely good for 2 mph too right? LOL!) And who knows what else that might show up at the MRS rad shop. I am not holding my breath it will be together this summer, the problem with having another running motor!! Updates as it goes now. |
