Ill take a pic, its like some one grinded it all off to re-do it all. The water pump was covered. Where the cone is looks like it would take 5 gallons of resin to fill its a big gap. Maybe fill the big voil with filler then epoxy ontop? Ill get a pic when i get home.

I epoxy my cones on, and use epoxy to do all the fill work. I had to redo a cone for someone and had to do what you described, grinding out the sides. To do a full glue on and fill the sides I use about half of the regular size cans of west system.

Alright yea makes sence. This one appears to be bondo. I guess ill put the container of 410 to use i have to fill it in, unless you rec one of the other fillers?

The 410 works, I usually add a touch of the 403 microfibers to thicken it up a touch. The 407 works great too. Just don't go crazy with the microfibers if your doing a top coat as it takes forever to sand. If you have a large gap between the cone and the case I would fill it with epoxy with the microfibers or fill it with fiberglass resin.

Here my gap, not as bad as i thought, ive got 406 and 410 here, ill grab some 403 to fill the big part and 410 to top it with. Old stuff is deffinetly just bondo, prob reason its cracking off lol

Do yourself a favor and get the rest out of the other side too, you don't want to have to redo the other side later.

Yea i think that would be a good idea. Whats every ones guess on top speed with a single 200 blackmax? Hoping for atleast 60mph. Could aways do a bit of engine work for a bit more power. Maybe i need to hang 2 of these on the back? Lol

My dads old scorpion (same hull) with a 200 xri was doing 66-68. I'd guess you should be around the same.

^ mines a scorpion to i just cant edit the title lol and thats a respectable speed for a single 200, go see paul for a few upgrades and get it to crest 70. Only thing i dont like about the scorpion hull is the angled transom sides. Nothing the jig saw and some glass wont fix since i would like to eliminate the splashwell. Any specs or pics on how your dads was rigged and what prop? Ive got 3 quicksilver choppers to choose from, a 24,26 and 28 pitch.

His had a bobs cone, 5.5" cmc hydraulic jackplate with 2" spacers, and a 28 chopper for the calm water and a 30 cleaver for the rough water.
