Can we do a weekend where we re-rig the Allison drag and River Rocket with LC's xr6 150..??? We'll get Yammer to unlock the set up and see whats what with the top end speeds. This Florida thing seems crazy to me... And it seems only me.? I wanna see the real story. |

Mitchie, i'm reading the thread now ............... is there not current on these rivers.... a very slow current is 3 MPH ... there not going to be running against the current. but aside for that.. those speed claims are nuts. |

Ok I just read on S&F what you're talking about. In the posts it clearly states that it's not a stock 150. And with a ton of set up and a better then perfect day it could be possible. Compression to swing the big prop to get up to speed and a light light rig. . . Who knows. Once again Mitchie I challenge you to actually go south and see the rest of the world of HP boating. . . try some stuff. . Who knows what's possible but your negativity and typing speaks for the lack of actual experience. ( not saying that in a dick way either and meant as a good thing What makes you so negative towards what people do if you yourself haven't done it ?? If you were to ask all drag racers years ago if a 275 wide radial car could go bottom 7 second 1/4mile times people would reply as you do but they do it. Same goes for Dixon running 151 with a Merc 2.5 set on kill. That's around 30 mph better then the average 2.5 STV set up and no matter how much HP he was running and N2O that's badass !!!! If some one was to spend a year of testing and time and fun to get the very best out of their rig and post it I think it's pretty damn respectable no matter if you or anyone else ( including me ) have some questions on the goals reached. Happy White Friday |

Gig currently has his motor off his ally...could put the xr6 on it before he puts the drag back on in the spring....Gig might not get his boat back though!! |
