Certainly would be the super sleeper in the T group. From the outside appearance the powerhead would pass as a stock 70 hp 56 cubic inch , but even bone stock it would be 100 plus horsepower.
The key is building a custom 3 cylinder crankshaft out of some OMC twin cylinder cranks.. The twin has a longer stroke than the triple, but uses the same diameter pistons.
Once you have the crank, you can install the SST 45 sleeves into the 56 block. You would use the rods from the twin. The triple head gasket should work as will the triple SST 60 cylinder head.
The OMC twin is 45 cubic inches so as a triple it would be approximately 67 cubic inch. There is no substitute for cubic inch producing torque.
The challenge and major expense is the custom crank other than that it’s not that different from a normal build.
If doable you likely can find a market for selling a few.
