We have certainly seen this to be true here in Ontario Canada. New motors are expensive and we only use them for part of the year. Most people are under financial pressure and looking for less costly options. It’s very difficult for a private seller to sell a high dollar motor. People don’t have the cash funds and require credit in order to purchase. Many times a new motor purchased on a long term payment plan doesn’t last as long as the payments. Plus repairs are much more costly with the newer models.
We are not seeing a lot of rebuilt 4 strokes on the marketplace. But we are seeing rebuilt 2 strokes.
