As an original “Muscle Car” guy from the 1960’s it was nice to see horsepower coming back. In 2025 several of the original muscle cars will be manufactured including the GTO which was my first car. I don’t know why they need 1100 hp in some of these new vehicles, but, I remember being in my twenties and my dad asking the same question. My answer was” just to know it’s there”.
My tow vehicle is a 2007 Chevy Avalanche 2 wd drive. I love the vehicle because of the appearance, the way it rides and the ability to lower the panel in the cab to increase the size of the truck bed.
But it would be nice to have more horsepower. I have always watched the performance car shows.
Then this show appears. A bolt on turbo system that bumps my engine to 500 hp on pump gas.
Makes the twenty year old mind return.
