With the cost and life span of the new 4 stroke outboards and the arrival of small, light, low maintenance and less costly IO motors, maybe there is a place for these motors in performance boating and even racing. Put one of these is a 300 lb., 15 foot V hull and it would be a nice combo. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-boat-parts-trai ... nFlag=true Features: 1.6L (98 CID) GM based engine 100 hp 5600-6000 rpm 373 lbs Sturdy cast iron block with aluminum heads Compact scroll design composite intake manifold system; reduces noise, increases power Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) No valve adjustments for the life of the engine Multi-port electronic fuel injection Crisp performance and turnkey start Closed cooled block, cylinder head and exhaust system with long life 5 yr coolant for low maintenance Self draining seawater cooling passages Translucent power steering fluid reservoir 65 amp alternator Engine Guardian intelligent engine protection system SmartCraft compatible MerCruiser easy engine oil removal system and quick connect freshwater flush port for sample maintenance Design protected for 3-way exhaust catalyst system Remote spin-on oil filter Heater connection points 100/300 hour service intervals YOUNG PEOPLE MAY LIKE THIS CONCEPT: You can play with this using aftermarket parts and your computer.
