Hi folks. I am headed up with my clan to Lake of Bays in August. I will be closer to the Dorsett end of the Lake. Where are the decent launches found and is there anyone who sells the high test octane on the lake?

There is a great ramp next to hwy #35 as is crosses over the channel in Dorset. Old Mill sells fuel right in Dorset or Lake of Bays Marine just as you go through the narrows to the main part of the lake. Not sure what octane they have, I fill up on the trailer.

When are you going to be there?

Oh yeah you are on Lake of Bays. We are up the week of August 5-12. The cottage we are at is around the narrows so I figured Dorset would be the place to launch. I bring jerry cans but my motor can be thirsty so I was hoping there is a spot to fill up as I plan to see as much of the Lake as I can. Are you up that week?

I will be up over the long weekend but not through the week. We should hook up for a run.

Sounds like a plan to me as I don't know the lake at all lol. Sunday or Monday would be good. Saturday is usually a gong show getting up and getting settled as we won't be up until after 3 pm. I sent you a PM with my cell.
