I love the interaction within the group on this site. Did anyone ever think about a Bragging Rights Challenge Cup?
The format could be something like this.
Select a boat...It will be the only one used for the contest.
Say you select an 18 foot Charger DL for example with a 200 Mercury.
You weigh the boat and motor with the tanks full and add a weight for the driver [say 225 lb.] That is the weight for every one in the contest. So the playing field is equal for all.
Power head for the contest is say a 2.5 carb motor
The contestant can only bring their powerhead and their prop.
Whoever gets the best top speed on that boat wins.

I'd be into that.. i'll donate my baker as the test boat.

Good idea but I already have enough winter projects...

The Rat Cat needs hull work, the Rat Rod needs cubic $$ and hull work.
Not much in the budget for another block
