This is the up grade I have been wanting for. 6800 is perfect! This will make the NEW model very competitive.

You got me thinking about 50D tohatsu rev limiters. Is it the black and yellow wire out of the CDI box?

not my info but:

If the Black wire with yellow tracer is plugged in forming a loop on the rear of the CDI unit the rev limiter is working. To disable simply unplug it.

Totally different animal you have a d2 which is the carb motor the tldi is direct inject and the ECU has to be remapped to raise the rev limiter.

Don, I have not forgotten about you, everything is in the corner, I promise you, I will get that thing done for you, Todd is right the TLDI is a different animal, I worked a VERY long time with Alan at TAC to get them to agree to up the limiters in the TLDI motor, it needed a complete remap as the old ECU was out of Memory, I want to put one of them on a racing G/C just I have no time to play with it. I have designed a ready for production complete mid and lower to adapt to a DSH hydro - I am a Merc guy you all know that, but this thing would smoke the 44xs and likely the 60 EFI RACE as well, an adapter plate in process which would allow a 15" TLDI to be run a speedmaster style lower on a stock TLDI 15" mid on a T-750, 850 boat as well. the fuel pumps get hot that was the major obstacle with the whole process we have that figured out, money and time is the delay I will not present this to APBA, I got shafted in that deal once already. It would be a CANADA produce EPA legal race motor.

rgds,

Dave

Dave and Todd you both know that I want to promote T750 and GT30. There are new motors available for both these classes and I believe the future of our sport needs to get these motors racing. If a simple plug and play module converts a stock motor to a competitive race motor that is a big advantage. Add to that universal mids and gearcases and we are going to attract new racers and develop different classes. TORC has welcomed change. T's, SLT and Drag all add to the show. I am enjoying working with the T750 50D tohatsu and I am confident that it will be very competitve in the class. Dave I do look forward to getting the powerhead. It will be the final part I need to chase down the competition. I also have the 60 4 stroke Mercury and the 2 cylinder Mariner to prepare for the T750 class. I am also working on a GT30 boat.

The other thing we are missing right now is the new 50 4 stroke the P/H is roughly the same weight, the ecu can be flashed and it is already outperforming Yamaha and Honda on all tests. Heck the Long shaft motor is only 217lbs, it also has a camshaft and head that can be WORKED. I talked with the engineer about that motor at the TO boat show and there is lots that can be done need a spillproof oil tank in the boat if a hydro or 15" mid for T class which we already have. There turning big numbers with it in testing already and it's almost a 2:1 gear ratio in the current lower unit.

I haven't been able to talk them Into remaping the 4 stroke yet we are working on it. I will be brining one in the next few weeks.
