Are there any good wed sites for buying performance parts for 3cylinder OMC engines.

Hi,
What kind of boat do you have? Not sure of websites that have parts for sale on them but a lot can be done just from modifying the original parts. Fibertron on here is going to have some custom heads for the 56 for sale soon, I'm making custom adapter plates and tuners. Just cutting your head, modifying your tuner and doing a bit of port work can make a big difference. An SST-60 powerhead is basically a fishing powerhead with different port heights, tighter head and different tuner.

I have this 13ft hull cannot identify , I have a 60hp evinrude with power tilt & trim I was planning to put on it . Just want a fast little boat for the cottage ,that will not burn thru a lot of gas. Was thinking about a bullet nose for the gear case .

1988 was the last year they made the 60hp with the 49.7ci engine. In 1989 they went to the 56.1. The 70hp went to the larger block in '86. The older 70 and 75hp OMC's used the 49.7 but they were rated at the crank for hp. Yours is propshaft hp. about 5-7% loss for the gearbox (from what I've been told) puts you around 64hp at the crank so I'm guessing they probably used the 1.125" carbs or smaller on your motor. I don't know if the porting is different than the old 70hp motors or not. They probably backed off the timing a bit too. I'd recommend putting the 1.250" carbs off a newer 70hp or an older 75hp and cutting your head down for a little more compression (maybe 145-150psi to make sure you're good for 91 fuel) Bump timing to 19 degrees if it's not there already.

It's a fairly cheap way to get more out of what you got but if you really want it to go, you should get an old johnson stinger / evinrude hustler 75hp short shaft as they have the smaller "nitro" style gear case. The smaller lower unit will probably get you your biggest gains and give you more prop selection. I've never seen a boat like that before and wouldn't have the slightest clue what kind of speeds it would get or what prop to run on it.
