I figured a knife would be pretty tricky... that there must be a reasonable alternative.
I've thought of a scroll saw, and will check out if there is a blade that wont grab the foam and tear the edge... sort of like a sandpaper wire? Instead of cutting it sands a path.
waterjet just seemed so easy, haha. No manual labour.
Also the part I cut out, I'd duplicate in another colour and inlay it. So anything by hand might look funky, haha.
