Is the hp the same or is it Larger ? The E-Tec are about 10 % greater than what they advertise |

From what i know from having this same question is this- 2003 to 2005 250 HPDI = just a bit lower than 250hp like 247 or something like that taking into account 10% for power loss to the prop 2006 up hpdi = 252 new on HT Dyno taking into account 10% for power loss to the prop 99 to 2003 250 OX66 = 260hp taking into account 10% for power loss to the prop i dont know how accurate my info is... it was just a telephone conversation... DoktorC might know more. |

I think most of these direct high pressure injection motors, all brands , lose about 15 to 20 propshaft hp , required to run the pump. the torque is what impresses me ,as well as the extended cruising range Steve |

It's part of the reason the HPDI's are 3.3L vs 3.1L....and there was never a 225 in the 2.6L version.. If you're interested in trying one... |
