Hey guys i just got my hydraulic steering installed in the stream. Now i need to bleed the system any tips? Everything is installed ,helm is mounted hoses are run and steering cylinder is mounted to the engine. I have bought 2 litres of seastar oil. Should be like bleeding brakes on a car no? Thanks Lee |

Here's a link to the install manual ... Fallow it to a T and you wont have air. having the helm lower than the cylinder helps the air move to the back. I found that out doing twins. http://www.teleflexmarine.com/wp-conten ... 6221-E.pdf |

Also 2 people is best. I dont think it is even possible with 1 without an automatic bleeder. Cover up the back with an old blanket as you will make a mess. Teleflex tech support is awesome. They email you back quick. Just be prepared to be at it for a couple of hours anyway. |

Yammer gave me a good tip, when you turn wheel to full lock use a cam buckle strap and tie it back to trailer to hold it in place. Dubbers right, 2 people a bonus. It worked for me with no issues (still) and it only took me about 45. |
