I've heard alot about people getting their midsections cut down, and was wondering if anyone knows where to get it cut? I'm possibly looking to get my 75hp mariner for my 13 checkmate cut down to 15" ,but from what I've heard, since the midsection and lower unit were the same as the 4 cylinder 100 hp and 115 hp merc's and being very large, that if it was possible to get it cut i couldn't go much shorter then about 16". I'm not turning it into a race motor/boat, but i would like to get anymore speed out of the boat if possible, Any help would be much appreciated.

call Paul at Top Gun 905 775-0862. he might have a used jackplate for your Panther too if you dont have one now.

i think for now the panther is gonna stay the way it is, only so that my sister and mom can drive the boat without it being a total weapon lol
