No vertical lift and using the 25 p 3 bladed prop at 5800 rpm I managed on the GPS 74.8 mph I eliminated the propoising by trimming the engine full..

What vertical lift you members suggest that I should get for the AE-21

You need more setback, more engine height Charles, call Paul and see if he has a Bobs machine 10" setback plate in stock, getting the propshaft up to 1/2" under the pad , or higher, I think will give you the rpm and speed you need. Hey Rick, James, what is the max safe rpm for Charles motor?

6150 is the limiter.... just off that will work.. your going to need more pitch.. my guess is a 30

Set back; my HST had 27in. from the pad, that counts both built in, plus added, and lift. HSTs and AEs are bow heavy. Some of the southern boys are running v8s with that kind of set back on HSTs. Ran a 14.5x28 or 14.5x30 et. liked the 28 best but could hit limiter(8200), speed I don't know, just so I can be ahead of Yammer on the river.

buddy has 16" setback on his HST, 1-1/2" above the pad when he's done a top end run tweaking the hydraullic plate. 28ET with a 280 at 107 on GPS.
