I can't find the thread where houndog had the trick to put a 56 on a 49 short shaft. What parts / mods do you need? |

just find a 20" 60-70 mid, 1986 and up, 56ci, cut tuner to 6 inch, minor grinding, all you need |

You will need to drill out the short mid bolt holes a little larger to accept the bolts for the 56 power head.as they are a larger diameter then the ones for the 49. |

yeah, do this once the adapter is bolted on, to the mid, just drill out mid holes same size as adapter. |

60-70 56ci adapter, 1986-2000 70, 89-00 60 hp will work |
