I mentioned on the site that I was making one. I think it is a very low cost improvement for a 49 cubic inch lake runner.
You could make one up to run on a long shaft 49 as well. It would require you to weld the drive shaft. You can also weld up a 15 inch drive shaft if you do not have a 15 .

To do the lower unit you need:
-15 inch 49 drive shaft
- a 2 cylinder 40 to 60 lower unit
- a 3 cylinder water pump
- a lower unit seal kit.

The shift rod needs a little bending at the top and you will need to shorten the shift rod if you used a long shaft lower unit.
If you have the 15 inch 3 cylinder shift rod it fits.
The complete assembly fits together with no issues just like it was a factory stock part.

Total cost under $700.00 including labour to assemble it. I do not have the tools to do lower units.
Great option when you consider the cost of a 3 cylinder nitro.

I found this post for selling SST60 parts interesting?
http://www.screamandfly.com/showthread. ... 582-Sst-60

Appears to be:
- SST60 mid
- mod oval port motor
- 2 cylinder nitro with 2.4 gears just like the one I just built
- a 12 x 21 prop???
Can't be run as a unit for sure.
