What is this steering?

Im reading and learning about steering for fast boating. Trying to get a feel for what stuff is good, condition issues, what works, and how much stuff is worth.

I seen this kijiji and wounder what this is. It looks like two single cable systems joined together, and a NFB column attached to it. Looks hoky to me. Is this an old proven way? It seems like this would hang really low under the dash, and screw leg room.

Im looking into anything, but "String steering" as future upgrade.

Looks a lot like a ride guide setup to me. Pretty decent, but parts have been hard to come by for a long time. I have $100 invested in 2 of these systems, less cables on 1. If everything is in good shape and cables move free it would be worth negotiating a better price

Thankyou for the ID, and info on it. I was thinking $350 was a bit much. Says firm, and its a dealer. I wont bother. I got time to wait.

I'm re-doing the steering in my voo doo. So my current set up is for sale. I will get pics when I can

I currently have a good, single cable system. Im interested in dual cable, or possibly hydraulic.
