Does anyone know who stocks WSM pistons? Ive just rebuilt my 2.6 and had a lean meltdown in one of the lower cylinders after 5hrs run time. I ordered 2 pistons to rebuild this thing originally and because they were a special order and screw ups in shipping it took over a month for me to get them. |

Chris Carlson Marine (800) 329-2725 I put together a stock 1977 stinger power head this summer with these pistons in .5mm over, Chris said they were good pistons and had had great luck with me, in fact he said they worked much better than Wiseco's he said that the Wiseco's were often not round in the bore after heating cycles. I liked that he said the WSM's were very high quality, I noticed the rings were made in Japan as well. I put the motor together and put it on the water this summer, put about 10 hours on it and so far so good, it seated in nice, I took 60 thou off the stock 1977 head and I have 155 psi compression on all three cylinders. Pictures of the engine are up on the link on readers ride to the 1972 Vanguard Predator boat. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2484 Reg |
