Please keep in mind that our intention was not to stray from T-CORD rules.
We want all racers to be able to compete.
Our Rules Committee did a great job.
Feel free to contact us at info@opbra.ca for clarification/questions.

Read Brent’s comment again.

“ the intent was not to stray from the T-CORD rules” So if something was lost in the rewrite contact them for clarification/questions.

Come on...its winter. February is "argue about T-boat rules" month lol. It's an annual tradition!

Personally, I'm just wanting clarity.

I didn't grow up through T-war 1 and T-war 2...

[I'd like to see more folks come out to race. For those of you who do not race, what would it take?

Matt, it is a very small circle of people that are interested in the sport. The best draw we had for new T racers was the Toronto Boat Show. The second best is when a T Boat is up for sale on Kijiji. The races draw people, but if there are only a few T boats racing it doesn't help.
When we had 23 boats racing, I had 46 T boat owners on my contact list.
Boat racing is popular in Europe. The UIM rule book is over 400 pages. They add classes and remove classes based on interest.

Here is an example of a class, I am watching.
These boats started in offshore and now are running circle races.
It's a V rigid hull inflatable.....no tiller ....normal race steering set up....the boat is more V hull than inflatable.

Provided we can get that boat style here and in a 14 to 16 foot size....I think it would interest some new people.
I like the 2019 OPBRA rules.....they allow more options.....that encourages more turn out.....the hook for getting more racers is have them race ONCE!!
