Charlie Miller 519-529-3303. Use to own Litespeed Welding and Instruction in Guelph. Former boat, motorcycle and car racer. Use to build his own equipment. One of the smartest guys I know. The best welder / fabricator I know. He's certified to work on aircraft frames, his specialty is building aircraft from scratch. You want the best in the business you go to him. He's retired now so he has time on his hands lol...........

hey hydroid , you got off very light. but I do know it bloody hurts a lot.

I snapped my Achilles tendon and the f-king doctors tried to tell me it was just a sprained ankle !!!.
3 months later they agreed it was snapped and I needed surgery.4 months on crutches.
12 months before walking without bad limp, 18 months before I could stand on one leg.
2 years later could lift myself up putting equal strain on both ankles/calfs.
if doctors had done surgery straight away would of been perfect within 12 months.

symptom of a snapped Achilles is you think you have been shot twice, one bang to back
of ankle and one bang behind the knee.
when the Achilles snaps the tendon springs up fking hurts like mad.

I got told by surgeon they would make a tiny incision to do the full repair and I should be fine within 6 months.
Well here is a pic of their tiny incision , thank f..k they didn't have to make a big cut !!!
at every 4 weeks after the stitches were out it was plaster change and foot angle change.
and the wife painted my toe nails the same colour as the casts so for her amusement.
