I thought some of the omc's had a variable volume dump valve [maybe just the v8's] If thats not working right you won't have pressure!

omc's are more volume than pressure compared to the small pissers, 4 to 5 at idle and 12 to15 wot is perfect. In my opinion, anyone running higher propshaft heights and hard( anyone reading this LOL) should replace the impeller every season. good cheap insurance.
The only tricky part on the omc is getting the shift lincage rod back in under the carbs at the front of the motor and getting the special screw in, takes a bit of prictice.

LOL good idea! I had a little home made tool, same idea though.I always replace the complete housing assembly if I don't know the sevice history on the motor, then just the impeller for a few years.the complete assembly is not much more dough anyway.
