Anyways I hooked up the old Tach when it starts it stays at 2000 rpms and i accident on the rear light post on the back of the unit it goes down to 1100 rpm
i'm pretty sure you have a bad ground to your gauges... also make sure your setting on the back of your tach is set for the right application.
