Raker is fine to surface, I ran a 28" on my Charger STV back in the day, surfaced the crap out of it no issues. If you get a chance to try a Solas Scorpion they work really well too. I believe Tom tried one on his DL and was impressed.

Yes - the 27P Scorpion on the DL was really good. It had great bowlift and and bowlift control. Very responsive. I could run it quite high without blowout.
