1972 Allison (duh!) 15R.
Transom, balsa core, floor etc have been done and not rigged since.
Original gel, serial number tag and Allison stickers (from when they were building em in Marysville).
US title documents in hand showing the last 3 US owners dating back to 1980.
Bottom has been blueprinted by a previous owner. The pad and all edges are sharp and dead nuts straight. A bit of the filler has come out in a couple spots. This will be retouched and the bottom running surface will get shot with primer.
Initial set up will be a 15" 50hp Sizzler.
Likely a Stinger after that.
Once juniors got the hang of that my guess is he'll either steel my 02 or maybe we'll follow Mikies example and build a 12" for it. I've got all the parts to build a 2 liter fishing motor kickin around so who knows.
If someone wants to post some pics send me an email address and I'll forward em to you.

I find it curious that there's no notch built into the transom on these boats. What kind of power/setback were they intended to use originally?

Those boats were designed for inline 6's or maybe cross flow V4s

I don't think setback was used back then. No notch and a narrow pad. Boats have evolved.

The boat looks great and should be a lot of fun.
