The first favourite was Doks 28p Chopper. Then I put the nose cone on and things got a little weird.

I was playing with a 27P Scorpion. Yamaha copy.

It was doing some incredible things and was set to buy it.

Whole new ballgame now. Gotta go through the process all over again.

Cleavers Tom... Big fn' Cleavers.

It's got a 30p Hoss on it now. I'll start with that and the 28P chopper to see what happens.
I lost my 20p Laser in the accident, so - I'll be looking for a new one. I have a 23p Laser, but it might to too much to pull my fat a$$ out with a double boot slalom.
My guess is a 19 or 21 P something or other. Doesn't have to be fancy. Maybe even Aluminum?

The 23 will pull you no problem....big blocks have LOTS of torque....

The Triton 1's are supposed to be very fast props on most V-bottoms.
I have never run one with a very high p/s height but have found that they are very easy to drive and predictable props.

That would be great! That way I don't have to red line it to barefoot.

I'll give it a try before looking for anything else. Switching between three props is a pain anyway.

I've got an aluminum michigan wheel 23 aluminum for an OMC that I bought for my baja. It has some nicks but will still be fine for a ski prop. You can HAVE it if you want it.

Thx Mitch - I'll take you up on that. Just have to figure out how to get it from you? I've got to get a cowl from the Dok as well.

Hang on to it for me and we'll figure it out

This year the solas scorpion 15 1/8" 27p was the best I have tried, over the winter I'm blueprinting the hull and adding setback for 12" total. It will be interesting to see how it turns the solas, and some bigger props at 12" back and 1" plus above the pad. Maybe I'll try your 30p hoss Tom, we'll have to set an early prop testing day next year. We'll see what stock the yaht harbour has , I'm going to get something off of him this time, i still think the scorpion will be the prop to beat.

Steve

Big Cleavers work the best so far with my set up... I bought a prop from Howard Leapingtiger that puts up a good # with the boat full of people and fuel... Ran 104 mph alone with a hard lean to the right  103 with 2 and 100mph with four people stuffed in the boat... I call it the Family Prop  Image

That would be great James. If all that can happen - then, I can get over to Kawartha and pick it up.

Also - keep in mind that I have to p/u a cowl from Dok for my Excel. If anyone is coming down this way from his place - I can meet them somewhere.

Wow - I though you were done with squeezing your rig. Are you getting longer cables for the steering after all?

For sure - some testing will be in order and you need to get John to drill out the Scorpion with the Merc plugs before you pick it up.
Just let me know when you want to do it. I'm guessing mid May would be good. Water will be low - but it should be OK. Just have to be careful going in and out of Marks.
I'll have to get someone to mod my Merc props to fit the dumb fishing motor as well.
