I would doubt that there's more then a crippled handful of Allison GS's in the 1-teens as well.
Now there ain't too many Triad V21's either and the Triad more so due to the area and aerodynamic forces it faces in compared to the slicing front of an Allison.
SS2000 , XR2002 , XR2001 , XB2002 ...... of and the Hydrostream Veno
( of which I really like ) whoooah do you see an Allison trend there....... as I scratch my left but through my Allison silk boxers ( Darris signed them last week too )

Wouldn't it be fun to have all brand new 280's each of the boats we piss about to actually see the speeds and handling and amount of left handed strippers they fit in them ?

Darris told me to tell you to stop lurking in the woods outside his house...lol.

I know of atleast 4 crazy fast triads that were serious top end boats.
chummy - 117mph with two other dudes in the boat with him.
Teal one with 15" 300xs owned by fishandski or something.. -113mph
Casey Gudgell was around 112mph back in like 2004 with a drag. (your friend yammer)
Braxton smith.. - 110mph +
John Tiger claimed over 110mph...
wally was over 105 with a consumer 280..

Those are top end numbers that are faster than a good percentage of ss2000's. I would not
put them against a big power 2002 though.

Not to mention it's success in lake racer with pretty interiors.......
Jason smouse
jimmy hensley
chuck martini

And thats just from the internet....

Goood night all...

Once again are talking experience or reading of it.
. . . 105++ in an SS2000 is not too hard with a decent set up and rigging. And in fact so you know an SS2000 is pretty well up to 120mph as fast as an XR2002. Any well set up SS2000 / 280ros should run 110 . . . SS2000 / Drag 115++ . . . Same applies for XR2002 but maybe a bit quicker on an everyday run with a Drag . This is from experience and driving and or rigging.

I can understand you siting what you've read of the Triad V21 but when it comes to making educated comments you have to have a little more then Net Reading experience. . . I know the numbers of those Triad boats and I can believe it for sure and run in one of them. But to say its "faster then a good percentage of SS2000's " is just not true
As a small example Ted Biglow's boat has run a best of 114mph with a stock 280ros and SM case & perfect Merc LAB 30ET ( not some prop shop LAB fake ). Now that was with the PS C/L about even with the pad and with zero signs of blow out at all and a completely stock pad so I'm good to go up at least 1/4". The boat weighs 1440lbs with driver and no fuel. If I had a selection of props I'm truly hoping for 115mph now that I was forced to mildly grind on the case and I'd love for him to want me to mildly work the pad.

By the way Darris allows me to be in this tree thanks. . . Hahaha

Cheers bud and sweet dreams ;)

How come Roy (suicide alli) could not break 110mph with big power and an XR case... I would imagine Roy knows what he is doing setup wise.... And same with Geiger. He has monster power and had big power on his SS and was not even close to this. What is the difference.? Props? Just curious.

Well... Bryan often runs without a drain plug, so that could be a factor?? ;)

When I decided to race T850 I bought an Allison because they are the fastest boats ever made (I bought the speed record T-shirt to prove it!!) I know I didn't win every race, but just think what would of happened if I actually put the pedal ALL THE WAY DOWN!! Then I would have beaten everybody!!! ... too late to see that happen now. :( :D

Good discussion guys! Very entertaining and interesting!!

I haven't looked closely at either nor driven them. Once again I'm going on my experience or actually witnessing things. Shit I won't tell you how my SS-R ran then.

We should get back to the Yamaha topic at hand after completely hijacking this .... Sorry about that. ;)

I don't think there is a VS at all. I do like Allison's yes. . . Without a doubt. I also like all other boats as well and could really care less about a VS at all. STV's are by far the fastest of them all for top end.
I'm just trying to challenge the "read" claims of speeds that can't be achieved by Allison's that can be by the claimed Triad V21.
A good healthy debate is fun. Hahaha.

Mitchie you listed two names there and I won't try to list all the ones that have done great speeds in theirs I personallly have witnessed make 115+ passes , and nevermind the "read" claims I could try and investigate or call.

Hahah how about this. . ;) you put a stock 280 on your boat and I'll find an Allison with a stock 280 and we will get a couple radar guns to clear the air.

*** once again this is some facts and some fun for those that would like to judge***

Fuck that...put a 15" 3.1 on an Alliston boat and see if it floats...then put an anchor, dog, cooler, Littlecharger and 100L of fuel and see if it'll go 100...THAT would clear the air.
